I recently ran into build failures using new artifacts because Travis uses a Google mirror of Central, and the replication delay was slow. Since then, Google has made some improvements and I wanted to raise awareness so that Travis is updated to reference the new Google mirror of Central.

We are currently mirroring the repo 12 times a day for the Americas bucket and 4 times / day for EU & Asia.
