I’m cross-posting this from the GitHub issue here 
To run Erlang Common Test framework test suites with Erlang/OTP 21.0 release, rebar3 version 3.6.0 is required. Currently Erlang jobs on TravisCI include rebar3 from 3.4.x line - would it be possible to upgrade it to the newest version? Currently the only workaround is to include rebar3 script directly in the repository and use this local copy.
I’d appreciate any help with this, thanks!
