The Python project [has recently had a problem with additional preinstalled Python versions not being present in `language: c`](https://mail.python.org/archives/list/python-dev@python.org/message/YCTLWAYIC44YTVGNN4EDLWKMER2LAPDA/) despite [https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/reference/xenial/#python-support](https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/reference/xenial/#python-support) guarantees – which was intermittently failing builds, blocking their workflow.

[The proposed fix](https://bugs.python.org/issue39035#msg358389) is to remove `group: beta` from `.travis.yml`.

**Is this really a fix – i.e. does this keyword still affect anything?**
